Taking this mini drone for a spin was fun and exciting. It was easy to control on low speed mode and is one of the best mini drones for kids.

Build:
Drone size is just a bit bigger than a hand (see picture). Smaller drones usually mean they are easier to control and this is the case with the Holy Stone mini model. The compact design is foldable and can be carried inside the controller – genius!
Built for speed, this drone won’t handle heaps of crashes but the beginner flying modes help with this. Using the propeller guards will protect the propellers but spare propellers are provide along with tools needed for small repairs.
Flying:
3 speed modes make it easy to go from beginner and gradually increase the speed for more of a challenge. One key take-off mode automatically sets altitude after take-off making it easier to control for beginners, which makes it one of the best mini drones for kids.
High speed rotation allows for 360° flying and cool tricks. Flight movements are smooth and the 30-50 meter flying range means it can go quite far and high under control. Night flying is possible with LED navigation lights and remote control indicator lights to keep an eye on the drone as it flies.
Flying Tip:
Practice in open grassy areas like parks and fields away from trees and other objects that may interfere with beginner flying. In our experience, flying indoors is not recommended for beginners.
